Alexandria are situated on the north coast of Egypt approximately 220 kilometres from Cairo. Alexandria is the principal port in Egypt. The port is separated into two different harbours. East harbour is used by fishing vessels and West harbour for commercial shipping. The entrance channel is 500 meters wide.
